The American Heart Association ACLS course is totally redesigned to incorporate new science evidence from the 2010 Guidelines and a new teaching methodology. Through the ACLS course, healthcare providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. 12-Lead ECG & Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course

 

This class is designed for Healthcare Professionals:RN's, LVN's (RN & LVN students), EMT's, RT's, Paramedics,& Healthcare Professionals preparing to become EKG Monitor Technicians. Topics covered in this course include Proper Lead Placement, Axis and Hemiblock determination, Bundle Branch Blocks, Differentiating Wide Complex Tachycardia, and Myocardial Infarction recognition (STEMI). Also included is the use of a 15 lead ECG. These fundamental concepts are solidified through extensive practice and case studies. Also covered are important topics such as “Who gets a 12-lead” and how to rapidly obtain an ECG that is clear and accurate.(Please note, this is not an EKG Technician Course)

Heartsaver CPR and AED

 This is the new American Heart Association CPR course taught with the updated 2011 guidelines. It replaces the previous Heartsaver CPR course.


 The Heartsaver CPR and AED Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants and use of barrier devices for all ages. It also covers the use of the AED machine (Automated External Defibrillator).
It is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This would include teachers, fitness trainers, lifeguards and coaches. This is also a wonderful course for anyone that has a responsibility to care for another person including parents and babysitters . It is for the non healthcare professional.
A Heartsaver course completion card is issued at the end of the class, on-site.

Heartsaver First Aid (First Aid Only)

Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

Heartsaver First Aid and AED (CPR, First Aid and AED)

 Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. 

This is the new American Heart Association course taught with the 2011 guidelines. It replaces the previous Heartsaver CPR and First Aid course.

The Heartsaver CPR, First Aid and AED Course includes essential information and training in the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA, all in a format that can be delivered in a single day. The course is modular to meet the needs of a specific workplace or group of employees. The core module comprises general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies.
 
The course teaches basic first Aid, CPR, and AED skills such as:
• Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
 
This is a wonderful course for anyone that has the responsibility of taking care of someone else including parents, families, teachers, babysitters, coaches or anyone involved in organized sports, personal trainers and lifeguards.
